farm fresh fish tacos

We eat tacos on the regular in our house! We love experimenting with different proteins, tortillas and lettuce cups and love when we can add in some farm fresh toppings too! For these tacos, we had some locally caught rockfish from a friend and they were absolutely delicious! We love tacos because you can eat them every day, from a new place around town or in your home, and each day you can have a different, unique and tasty taco!

We hope you enjoy this one!

Ingredients / Equipment:

  • 4 tortillas of your choice

  • 2 portions of fish

  • 1/2 white onion, diced small

  • 1 handful of cilantro, chopped

  • 1 handful cabbage, shredded

  • 1/2 avocado, sliced

  • 2 small radish, sliced

  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt

  • 1/2 lime juiced

  • 1 tsp taco seasoning

Instructions:

Let’s first make our lime crema! Simply whisk your lime juice into your greek yogurt and set it aside.

On a plate, pat your fish dry and lightly season with taco seasoning. On medium heat, cook your fish for about 4 minutes on each side.

Warm your tortillas.

Assemble your tacos! We like to put the fish on the bottom. Then add cabbage, cilantro and onions. Next, we’ll add sliced avocado and top it with lime crema. We like the pop of color of the radishes on top!

Note: You can substitute any protein for this recipe and it would be delicious! Whether it’s tofu, grilled shrimp or some steak, they’ll all be tasty! You can also use regular sour cream for the crema. We always use greek yogurt since it’s still tangy and healthier!

Cheers!
